The first store was opened at the Castro Valley, in the year 1984. Slowly and steadily, the company grew more substantial, and by the year 1999, the company had almost 60 stores under its name. The same year, the company was acquired by Spencer Gifts. The founder of the company used various techniques like short term leases, locations and also used to stock widely used merchandises as well – which was a novelty factor back in the days, for the Halloween retail sector.
