Carhartt History
Carhartt was incorporated by Hamilton Carhartt in 1889 in Dearborn, Michigan, with the main purpose of making work clothing for manual laborers. By the 1890s, the company widened its focus and started working to make strong and long-lasting work clothes for the railroad workers. In 2007, Women line of women’s workwear was introduced by this company.
